D'HONE-DANFORTH

The D'HONE-DANFORTH is approved by the ZSUK as a "high holding power anchor" and has an allowable weight reduction of 50% compared to conventional anchors. At DNVGL, the D'HONE-DANFORTH has a Type Approval with a weight reduction of 25%. The D'HONE-DANFORTH has the highest holding power of all anchors suitable for marine use.

 

The D'HONE-DANFORTH is a welded construction anchor made from rolled S355J2+N steel plate. 

 

However due to its wide stick required for stabilisation its use is limited.

 

The main areas of application are dredging and anchoring of pontoons and navigation marks.
