RECTANGULAR BASE PLATE

In recent decades, anchor pockets have been constructed in the bow of the ship's hull due to shipbuilding regulations.  These anchor pockets also simplify the fixing of the anchor, so that damage to the hull and also to the anchor itself can be avoided.

Following this trend, the D'HONE-SPEZIAL was equipped with a rectangular base plate which, after the anchor has been retrieved, closes the anchor pocket in such a way that the outer skin of the ship forms a uniform, smooth surface, with an optimum anchor pocket design.
